Ruben Polansky

Ruben offers a dynamic style of yoga that incorporates the flow and the challenge of Ashtanga, the stillness and strength of Iyengar, and a unique taste from his own personal practice.

A native to Chile, South America, Ruben has studied and practiced yoga for many years. His first memory of yoga is of watching his father doing headstand when he was just a little boy. Ruben then pursued yoga in his early twenties. Quickly the practice of yoga took over his heart. For many years he practiced almost every day under direct disciples of B.K.S Iyengar and Shri Pattabhi Jois. In 2005 Ruben completed his Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Adinath, founder of Patanjali Yoga Institute in Uruguay. In 2006 Ruben started teaching yoga in Chile and in 2008 he traveled to India for more than 2 years, teaching in Ashrams in Rishikesh, to kids in poor school villages, as well as walking the path of the high Himalayas holy temples and caves.
Ruben enjoys playing with stillness, movement, and strength. He believes in going to the mat to find yourself, to see your ego, your limitations and then through yoga to breakthrough. But most importantly, Ruben finds inspiration in taking yoga off the mat,
wherever he goes. Deep into the wilderness, the Yuba river, in the streets, dancing; to always carry the essence of yoga in you.
