Heather Burley Yoga

Heather discovered the benefits of yoga in 2000 during her first year of college as a theatre major. She quickly found that the practice of yoga complimented her movement theatre studies in Viewpoints, Suzuki Actor Training, and Mime. Yoga served as a vital resource revealing new pathways of awareness and creativity. Heather continued to integrate yoga as a part of her teaching methodology throughout completing her Master’s in Education degree in 2005. Yogic philosophies influenced her views on classroom management and creating a peaceful environment for learning.

Heather completed a 200-hour teacher training program at Balanced Yoga University in 2008 with Donna Winters and additionally received training through the Radiant Child Yoga Program with Shakta Khalsa. Her yoga background includes a strong base in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Anusara influences. She gained valuable insight over the years participating in workshops with such teachers as Doug Swenson, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman, David Williams, Todd Norian, and Peter Sterios. Heather actively continues to study the dialogue between body, mind, and spirit. Heather welcomes her students in each of her classes to playfully explore the practice of yoga to discover their fullest potential.
